David Buzzetti Headshot

Meet Rear Admiral David Buzzetti, the Deputy Joint Staff Surgeon Bringing His Lifelong Passion for Human Health and Performance to iCRYO

iCRYO’s continued growth has brought with it an impressive collection of franchisees from all different walks of life. iCRYO is proud to highlight one such franchisee, Rear Admiral David Buzzetti, who recently opened his first center, iCRYO 4S Ranch, in San Diego, CA, and whose storied career blends with it a lifelong passion for health, wellness, and human performance.

iCRYO 4S Ranch opened in December of 2024

"My whole life, I've been passionate about human physiology and performance," Buzzetti shared. "Even with the other businesses I’ve owned or been a part of, I wanted something that would allow me to continue helping people feel better, perform better, and live their best lives."

Rear Admiral Buzzetti’s distinguished career in the United States Navy spans nearly three decades and features leadership roles in operational medicine, aerospace physiology, and human performance. After earning a bachelor’s degree in cardiopulmonary science from the University of Central Florida and completing his training as an anesthesiologist assistant at Emory University, Buzzetti served as a Navy medical officer. His unique expertise focused on the physiological demands of dynamic flight environments, where he helped aviators optimize their performance and prioritize safety.

In 2007 he received the Fleet Marine Force Qualification (FMFQO). Given his distinguished service, he is authorized to wear the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, Naval Commendation Medal, Naval Achievement Medal, and Meritorious Unit Commendation.

Buzzetti has also held academic roles at Emory University, teaching anesthesia and clinical practice. He completed his MBA and MHA, or Master of Health Administration, at Georgia State University, later becoming the chief operating officer of Concordia Anesthesiology Inc. in Atlanta Georgia.

Currently serving as the Deputy Joint Staff Surgeon in Washington, D.C., Buzzetti advises the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff on all medical matters related to operational forces. Despite his high-level role, he somehow finds time on the civilian side to pursue a personal mission: improving people’s quality of life through greater access to health and wellness services.

“My whole life, I’ve been passionate about human physiology and performance,” Buzzetti shared. “Even with the other businesses I’ve owned or been a part of, I wanted something that would allow me to continue helping people feel better, perform better, and live their best lives.”

“The traditional medical system is great at fixing you once you’re broken,” Buzzetti further explained. “But I’m passionate about intervening earlier—helping people before they reach that point. That’s ultimately what iCRYO stands for: proactive, science-based wellness.”

iCRYO is proud to include Rear Admiral Buzzetti in its ranks of franchisees. With his commitment to excellence, science, and service, he brings a unique and inspiring perspective to iCRYO and its community.

You can see Buzzetti in action in this interview with WSAV3 in Savannah, GA, during Navy Week*:

“We’re honored to count someone of David’s caliber and prominence among our franchisees,” said Kyle Jones, CEO and co-founder of iCRYO. “We created the American Hero Franchise Program with the express purpose of attracting more veterans and active military — people we revere and know we can trust. Little did we know we would soon be working with someone as distinguished as David. His history of service and leadership, combined with his passion for health and knowledge of human physiology, are invaluable resources for us as a company and brand.”
